Night Terror Magazine was created to change the narrative that we have seen for so long in the horror community. Authors, artists, creatives, and enthusiasts make up this incredible community, and it's our mission to provide a platform for underrepresented voices in the creative sphere. Night Terror supports the artistic liberation of self-publishing and empowers independent creators in the horror genre.

Because of this and our duty to our community, we cannot ignore the deep divisions that continue to plague our nation. 

We have been faced with xenophobic, misogynistic, racist, and homophobic policies and actions that have caused immense pain and suffering for so many in our community. We stand before you with rage and sadness in our hearts and reject these stances. We will continue to be a voice of resistance against hate and oppression. Our commitment to our mission has never been stronger.

In the face of never ending challenges, we harness strength from the deep, rich diversity of perspectives that make up the real heart and soul of the horror genre. The powerful voices of our diverse communities will guide us forward. Their experiences are invaluable, and their insight deserves a safe platform. Night Terror Magazine is that platform.

Night Terror Magazine exists because of our cultures and our resilience. We stand on that statement now more than ever. As horror consumers, we are experienced at evaluating our surroundings during times of unease and discomfort to ask, “How can we work through this together?” Now is the time for us to put those skills to the test. 

But we are prepared. We, a community that has never been centered at the norm, still find ways to shine and support each other. This community has built strength by embracing our differences. 

This is a time for resilience and action, a time for community and unification with those who will be and have been affected by our country’s ideals. We pledge to wield the transformative power of our horror community, rejecting the country’s standards in order to build a more just and inclusive society–not only here in horror but in our own homes, communities, and beyond. The path forward will be tumultuous and tiresome, but we walk with you in unwavering solidarity. Night Terror is a space where you can take up space.

To our readers, contributors, and the greater community–we thank you for your continued trust and support. We are deeply honored to use our platform to amplify those who deserve to be heard. We vow this to you now and forever with kindness, empathy, and most importantly an unwavering drive to initiate change. We have tears in our eyes and rage in our hearts, but most importantly, we have one another.
