Horror for the Holidays: What is your terrifying winter tale?

The Scream Team here at Night Terror Magazine is hosting our 2nd annual short story competition: HORROR FOR THE HOLIDAYS! We are looking for frightening, unique, bloody holiday and/or winter horror stories to keep our readers waking in the night! Got a story that will chill us to the bone? We want to read it!
Submission Guidelines:
Word Count: 1,000–2,500
Theme: “Horror for the Holidays.” We’re seeking frightening, unique, bloody holiday and/or winter stories.
Originality: All submissions must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism and the use of AI will not be accepted.
Format: Submit in 12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced, with one-inch margins. Please include the title and the author’s name in the header.
How to Submit: Email your story to our Copy Editor at [email protected]. In the body of the email, include your name, contact information and short bio. Write “Submission” in the subject line.
Deadline: Sunday, November 16.
Rights: Writers retain all rights to their work; winners grant us the right to publish in our December issue and to promote online.
Upon submission, our in-house Copy Editor, Brit Norton, will anonymize your story to be read, reviewed, and rated by our co-creators. Three winners will be chosen! Decisions will be sent out for each submission by November 25, and the winners will be announced to the public by our Scream Team on Monday, December 1. The winning stories will then be featured the following week in our “Horror for the Holidays” issue!
Please feel free to forward this information on to your horror obsessed writing pals! The more submissions, the merrier!
